Where in the U.K. do you buy accent chairs?
Comments (52)I'm not sure about either to be honest, sorry. I appreciate the ideas though! I think where i'm struggling is i quite like something gold/marble, i'm just aware I have gone for quite statement pieces so I want everything to effortlessly flow together and look well-styled but not gaudy/mish-mashed. I suppose I know how i want it to feel i.e. luxurious, elegant and feminine rather than how i want it to look, if that makes sense? For side tables I was thinking maybe something like this https://www.atkinandthyme.co.uk/furniture/tables/side-tables/castello-side-table.html...See Morewhere I can buy tiles like these in the UK?
Comments (38)thanks all! The vanity was made to measure. Just a wooden floating frame which we covered in tiles. Couldn't find a vanity to fit as this was less than 300 deep and about 1100 wide. The tiles we got from a company in Preston called ROCCIA www.roccia.com - they also have a place in Bolton but not sure if they deliver outside of the area. The tile was called Pantheon Marble (antique) by Cerim. Not found any other suppliers. Comes from Italy in all size formats. I got the 300 x 600 and they did them for about £45psqm. Similar ones we found from Mandarin stone were almost identical but didn't have quite as many streaks in. In fact I bought a full sized sample and had to use some of it for the skirting behind the WC and you can't really tell the difference at that angle. They are on sale now so a similar price (they were almost £60 psqm when i looked to buy them!) https://www.mandarinstone.com/product/mimica-sepia-grey-matt/ they are mostly grey but in some lights at a certain time of day, they can have just the very very slightest brown tinge but it's barely noticeable either....See Morewhere can i buy an oval shower curtain rail in antique brass or black?
Comments (4)Thank you but no - I did find a couple of polished brass ones - I did think I could try to matt/blacken it myself as a last resort?...See MoreSliding doors colour choice. Not black, white or anthracite...
Comments (10)Minipie, this is a tricky one. The greeney grey would look lovely with your yellow brick or even a more yellowed grey, there are lots of houses where I live with yellow brick and ones with warm grey pale windows look lovely. I recently replaced all of mine and had the same colour inside and out. I went for a warm green grey (F&B Light Grey 17) and the same inside. As most of my neutrals inside are from the same 'hue' family it was ok, but if they had been 'bluer' as you say it could have been tricky. If the tones are the same (how light or dark) and the colours mismatched it is very noticeable. If the colours are different then the tones need to be a bit different too. I would be inclined to make a selection that works with your inside colours first and then actually paint the samples on the outside to see if they work....See MoreSarah Raven
