How did you plumb the tub into the shower room?

Doing a very similar idea. However, the shower floor has to be sloped for drainage. But the tub has to be on leveled floor. How do you achieve the drainage requirements?

That is a question for the architect, but yes we always assure that there is a slope and specify two separate drains.

This may be a crazy idea and you may not like it but I think it is worth mentioning: Would you consider having a pole high enough that goes over the window and the door. You could have a shower curtain but would be few inches away from the tub and you could tuck behind the tub and the window when not in use?

You can use side panels or a deck/surround to create what is, in effect, a free standing bath that would work well aesthetically and, optionally, as part of a wetroom-style bathroom. Deep soaking tubs are especially effective for such projects; they have smaller footprint, which affords more room in the shower area, but their greater depth makes them exceptionally comfortable.

Hi Lisa oh my word thank you! I have just measured the other bathroom which has a sink in front of the window but the ledge is much higher and I have a splashback so it helps with the splashes. I have just measured this one and it is just 86cm to the window ledge and my other basin is 84cm high so thank goodness you asked the question!!! I guess it now means I have to put sink next to shower but it will be a squeeze and the frustrating thing is it means I will have a large gap the basin to the toilet where the window is as obviously not replacing the bidet! Also I think it means I will have to keep the existing boxing for the toilet piping. Do you think there is anything creative I could do to improve this? Again big thanks!

I'm another who thinks replace the bath rather than spend good money after bad. Unless you're usually a fan of 70s/retro decor I think you will always hate it and no wall colour will get away from that. If you can get a plumber to fit a new bath and taps, and diy removing the tiles and retiling I don't think it would cost much more than all the plywood, paint and tools you are planning.
