Breccia ? Please send an image . My area has very limited choice of marble . Lots of Emeperador light & dark available . Height of my bath is 9' 4" . I have one ceiling height window , width 22" , next to basin counter. I prefer full size mirror for basin counter. Then one more mirror from floor to ceiling ,width 30" opposite the basin counter. Basin is undercounter , white color. Please suggest .

Hello Susienew, Must say that's a fabulous idea and pic! Love it!! So as with all stone or marble in bathrooms (maybe not slate) tend to be porous, so need to have a sealant and anti mould treatment. You can buy bottles of these which you roll on with a little sponge roller.. I have used marble so with Slate it may be slightly different.. I'd ask the supplier for any differing requirements there. I had the tiles done and then these treatments over the entire space where stone is used (to be on the safe side)... I think you can get special grout too- again maybe something different is needed.. and speak to a good bathroom fitter.. There are also specifics when putting in wet rooms. I also found that having a nice metal squeegee which you run over the tiles after showering is a good idea. These tiles are quite easy to find, I had a friend who had a few in her bathroom. Have a bit of a research and go and have a look in a tile shop too. Also good idea to get samples and see what colour you like.. I do think if you are able to do something like the image, I would say go for it!! I think they are fantastic, and you can mix these with smooth stone if you didn't want to tile the whole area like that. : ) )

Hello Ro Ro, Just a little thought here.. you can create a whole range of storage that doesn't involve having something under the sink! Or you could have a back to wall floating unit.. Small and rectangular.. It does not have to look like they do now.. Also with certain taps you do need to look at the water pressure, if you want aerated taps etc.. If your taps have a good flow I am sure you won't have a problem.. :))

It's really hard to judge colours when they are on the wall next to each other - unfortunately they refect off each other so that's probably not helping ya. Some paint companies provide large removable vinyl colour patches you can put on the wall and move around so you can see how the colour will look during different daylight. I painted a few square canvases and rotated them around the room, it really helped me choose. One colour looked great but as the light changed on 2 of the walls it looked like someone was sick on the walls - eek. So glad I didn't paint the whole room! Alternatively there are apps, like the Dulux one, where you can take a photo of your space and then change the wall colour in the app. Blues would be fabulous with those tiles, especially if you bring in natural wood elements. What are the wall colours adjacent to the bathroom? If the door is open, would your eye be viewing both the bathroom colour and (example) hallway? If so, you'll need to match the undertone. Good lighting, good framed mirror, and satin finish will bounce the light so that even a dark colour will feel lush and not depressing. If you were to take those tiles out of consideration, would the wall colour be an easier choice? If you are absolutely in love with the tiles and very much want them in both rooms, then its worth the hassle. Are you perhaps worried about 'wasting' money and therefore trying to force it? It is going to be much cheaper to get new tiles and paint exactly what you want now, than it will be for you to both compromise, end up hating it, and have to redo it.
