I believe the wall is around 7' tall.

Depends how high your ceiling is ? You can get 8'x4' pre finished sheets of various wood /wood effect - back in the '90's I did a similar thing out of MDF to hide a horrid old fireplace ! ( that was wallpapered after ) it was in a rental property - but offered relief from the eyesore and was removable when the lease ran out ! If you are in the south of UK there's a company called Lamco in Poole who do fab things made to measure - I'm sure they could make one - but I do know they are incredibly busy - so might take a while !! Long flooring planks might be easier as pre finished and 'settled'. Good luck with it !!!

Hello Ruth, I very much like these white boards. It may look untidy but this feature would perfectly go for industrial style interior or Scandinavian one. Understandable if it is not your favourite but I think, ripping them off would give a massive job. creativeorg gave you some practical ideas and do consider painting the door and its frame. There is just the issue of the cupboard in he corner, do you think I should go brown to match the vanity unit, white or grey? Or a mix? My husband started painting the doors in a light blue colour but it doesn’t seem to come together with the rest of the scheme unless I put some down in it somewhere? Any ideas?

I have eggshell on all of our panelled walls downstairs, up the stairs and landing. Everything got painted in the same finish panelling and walls and it doesn't look shiny at all ( we used Farrow and Ball). It is so easy to keep clean with the dog and everyday wear marks and scuffs still looks the same nearly 4 years on. I also have Benajmin Moore's eggshell in my studio and that doesn't look shiny eitherl. I know I am not MATH but wanted to give you my experience. :)
