Do I use same paper on one wall in lounge like I have the hall.

As I have French doors you can see the opposite wall. Would it look better peppered the same as the hall or can I do a different paper but same colours. The walls will all be painted the same.

Hi. It would look nice as it's a nice paper (!) but no you don't need to do the ŵall the same. It doesn't need to be the same colour either just one that complements

I agree with previous poster, choose a complementing paper from the same range, same colours. I think it would be too bland using the same paper.

Hello, Personally I wouldn't paint them in the same colour as I would find the result too boring. Sort Our Stuff gave you a good tip: you could mix the colour a bit and perhaps change the shades so the walls would differ a bit from each other. The grey sofa will go with the wall colour, I would suggest you add some neutrals as well or maybe white. Grey sofa with grey wall would be no to me. I would try to make everything more diverse, add more colours so my eyes wouldn't get tired of the overall view as there would be more to interact with. For feature wall go for the one with the TV. Feature wall with a sofa would look odd.

Hi, This is a lovely little room, the mirror works really well and the shape gives the space interest. I think this is the paper your looking at: Everyone will advise you differently but this is how I would do it. I would use the paper on the mirror wall only. The mirror would look fabulous against this paper ! Make sure you add a little glass back panel directly behind the sink to protect the paper from splashes. There are two shades of grey in wall paper design, use these as your other wall colours (Use Farrow & Ball) Put the darker grey on the window wall to pull your eye as you enter and the lighter grey on the rear wall opposite the sink to keep the room light. Skirting, door, architraves in eggshell white and ceiling in matt white. As with the grey, use F&B paint for the white, it has a chalky tonal value which will soften the effect. Sincere apologies if you have just put the curtain up, its lovely but a full length curtain picking up the yellows with a perspex pole would transform the room.. Another trick I like to use is to put a white plantation shutter into the window which would be framed by the new curtain. This punches the white onto this wall tying it in with the sanitary ware colours. A small detail but if you kept the silver framed picture and replaced the mount with a yellow to match the paper this would look beautiful off a grey wall. Those are my thoughts, hope this helps. Thank you for that - the room is quite dark as it has a conservatory on the end - at the moment very stark as you can see in these pics - the red suite is staying, there will be a new light fitting and brass/gold sockets. I have bought a huge gold mirror for the chimney breast and the runner was going directly above the fire - it's normal wallpaper roll width.

Hi. You have the makings of a lovely family living room. I would flip the sofa so that it runs up the wall opposite the French door, and have the tv on the even shorter wall. Don’t put the tv too high, and paint the wall behind it dark blue, then the tv disappears. I like the rug and don’t think it’s too big. You need to get rid of all the miscellaneous stuff,and invest in some flexible storage. Give your table some room to breathe, it’s very beautiful and useful.don’t have it shoved in the corner. I think most peoples artwork is generic and dull, think about the places and things you love, and colours that you like, and then find a way to reflect that. Try to avoid having stuff that’s currently popular, it will just be filling charity shops in 2 years. Take your kids to an art gallery and all choose one thing you love. They may sell prints, or it may just inform your choices. I’m always drawn to figures, my husband prefers architectural stuff. Don’t be scared, don’t be too matchy, and don’t buy one tiny thing and stick it up high. Art should be at eye level.but hang your choices with proper respect. Introduce some texture, with throws and cushions. Please put in some plants.And keep the panelling, honestly that room needs depth.

Lovely paper in the hall

I think a complementary paper in the lounge would be lovely and there would be a natural flow then from one room to the other.
