Please what is the edge profile of the Torquay countertop?

Ok I have got this to work using a pc rather than a mac but now it wont let me put my company name in as Tekton Property Services Ltd, it just asks me to choose a different name, not very easy when that's the name of my company. I have searched for others with the same name and it appears there are similar co. names but nothing the same.

Hi Kerri, Looking at the photo, I'm not sure that's an edge profile as such but rather may be a batten upstand skimmed over (hard to judge by height/scale). If you want to achieve a similar effect as per the attached photo, you can use a fairly standard plasterboard edge bead as per the below link & pic. Just allow the plasterboard to sail over by about 20-25mm all round, and fit the edge bead making sure all mitres and joins are very carefully and neatly cut (this is really important). The beading just needs a few fixings to hold it in place whilst the ceiling is skimmed. The LED tape is then simply stuck down on the flat overhang, with appropriate corner joins to ensure all is correct and unseen. Obviously your wiring needs to be positioned in such a way to ensure it is hidden as far as possible. The beads are available from most builders merchants or DIY stores. Quite right, the Rimu doors are pretty awful! They do indeed go right throughout the house. Unfortunately this is an extreme budget makeover so I can’t afford to replace them. Even looking at the cost of a new set of handles was a bit of a shock! I literally have $27 in the bank so a couple of testpots for a feature wall is about it... I could paint them in but I’m a bit wary of painting wood because of the effort to strip them back if it’s terrible, & I think doing them the same color as the wall would unbalance things, & make it look a bit messy with the 3D texture of it in one big area of dark paint? Interesting idea to paint the pelmet the same as the curtains, I would never have thought of that! Eventually I was thinking of replacing them with some lighter or warmer coloured ones but that’s an idea. The only thing I wonder is if it might look a bit out of place when the curtains are drawn aside? What was your original idea about the overhang of dark paint above the door on the right?
