Looking for a light dusky grey blue paint in UK

Hi all

For our bedroom, I would love to use blue. Our flooring is white wood with putty grey coloured furniture. We can't go too dark as windows aren't great and it is a very gloomy space hence choosing a white floor. Looking for a really nice dusky blue grey tone paint, trying to give a relaxing calm feel. Can anyone recommend a colour please?

Also willing to look at alternative colours but would definitely have to compliment grey.

Hello Claire - Blackened by Farrow and Ball is very light, with a hint of blue grey. It has beautiful tones. You mention that the light isn't great - is it north facing by any chance? If so, you may want to be careful with using blue as it can be very cold in north facing light. Any other direction and go for it...

You can't really change this as the pigment in some greys are blue. Any other grey in the room will just emphasise this. Perhaps a cool white bulb might soften it a bit but ultimately you'll need to repaint if you want to get rid of the blue tinge. I had to do exactly the same in my lounge as my grey looked too blue (dulux steel grey)

Hi, thank you for your advice. I have waxed the furniture and just need to buy a bufferer as its a light wax and its taking a while to get the brown away, but I brought a teal throw and it looks so much more better.

Thank you so much for all this info. Does anyone happen to have the colour mix code for a valsper sample tin. Took the codes today and they said they can’t scale the size down enough for a sample pot and obviously I want to try the colour in our lighting first?

This happened me too when we painted my living room in F&B Blackened. I had used it previously in another house and thought it would work in our new house however it’s very blue at certain times of the day. I’ve tried keeping my furniture and accessories neutral and pale which helps. And lots of greenery.
