HELP!!! Kitchen extension - what colour floor tiles??
We're currently converting our conservatory in to an extension and moving the kitchen in to it.
We are knocking the back of the house out to create an open plan kitchen, dining, living area with bi-folding doors on to the garden. Work currently in progress!
We are planning on having white mirrored quartz work tops with a howdens burford stone kitchen but can't decide on what colour floor tiles????
Any help greatly appreciated! Should we go for White to match the quartz worktops, beige or grey floor tiles or none of them???
The floor tiles will run from the front door through to open plan kitchen area.

8 years agolast modified: 8 years agoHi Jemma - were you thinking of porcelain tiles or natural stone? If you were thinking of something like limestone or marble, we have a great range of aged and also modern looking stones in various cool and warm greys. There are a couple of pictures below - if it was me I think I would go for a slightly deeper colour to avoid the room looking too washed out and also give it some character.
We've also got some stone-effect large porcelains as well as wood-effect porcelain planks and industrial style porcelains. All are hardwearing, so great for a busy household. Comments (3)So, has the approach to your property changed at some point? Because I would expect your entrance hall and front door to be at the front and not at the back? Could you turn it around again? If not, maybe move the front door to what is now the kitchen, making the kitchen part entry hall and part utility (dividing wall). Then you could perhaps create one large kitchen/diner/family space from the current utility, office and family room. The current dining room could be an office? 8 years agoWe've just finished ours. Went with a beige tile that is actually more grey from Wickes (on offer), their grey was too dark. Grey units and white Corian worktop so similar to your samples.

8 years agoHi Jemma, It's a beautiful kitchen! And here I wouldn't go for brilliant white, it looks so cold and clinic. I support Natural Stone Consulting recommendation to choose something semi-polished like stone or concrete tiles, for example
It will give you very pleasant texture and colour.
If you consider dark tiles, then not grey or black. I will suggest warmer tones and not darker than taupe.
