Thank you. The planting scheme is quite extensive and has yield in all seasons, so is there something or some aspect of it that particularly appeals to you in this picture?

Great article on bathroom plants...it's also worth thinking about them as a hanging plant from the ceiling or a small plant wall hanging flush against the wall, perhaps opposite end of bath from the shower? I give my plants a big water a couple of days before I leave plus feed if it's due and on the morning or night before I give them another drink so the water stays in the pot about 1 to 1.5 inches. I know they say that you shouldn't leave your plants sitting in water but I always do it and it works for my Orchids which I have had for about 5 years now which keep flowering all the time. I go away for about three weeks so don't want to put the onus on my neighbour who holds my key and looks after my post. I always leave them in the same place they usually sit which is away from direct sunlight. Plants always do well with the morning sun on them.

Remember that if the plant seems to be drooping it doesn't always mean it's thirsty. it may be over watered. In which case just lift it out of its saucer and leave it to dry out. I had a problem there where my husband was also watering the plants without my realising it. More importantly though if your plants keep dying they likely aren't getting enough light.

What we call valerian, centranthus rubra, would do well near the walls in sun, however it does get big roots eventually so I wouldn't grow it in the walls. Creeping campanulas would be nice down the walls, or creeping rosemary for a drier place, cerastium tomentosum (snow in summer), aubrieta, alyssum, various alpines.. persicarias work well in walls too, but it depends how much rain you get. These are for sun - Marina has given a good list for shade. And of course, see what everyone else is growing nearby.
