Lounge finishing touches - product and style advice please?

Please find attached some pictures of my lounge. I am struggling with pulling everything together and am just sad I can't realise my vision - please can you help? If you have specific product recommendations, please do let me know. I want to sort them our desperately!

There are 3 key things:

1) Corner between bookcase and sofa - what side table should I have here? with picture above? (or will that clash with 2 main pictures) Light? OR should I put a small armchair in here? What style?

2) Corner between curtains and media unit - I am thinking about a chair with the lamp there but what chair? (mid century design? tub? egg chair? whitworth leather chair from Laura Ashley?) and should I change the lamp (overhanging brass?)? Any other ideas?

3) Corner by the door - what should I put here? I was thinking 1 / 2 nest of tables, but what tables (oak? square/ round? or brass?) and with what lamp/ ornaments? Picture above?

Really I am looking for advice for how to complete the 3 corners to draw the room together (and make it look less blank!)

But finally!! - what about the cushions. When I put the original ones there I was thinking 'draw out the purples in the pictures' but think I have gone completely over the top and it is a mass of colour. I am wondering if I should remove them all and replace with monochrome (like the Laura Ashley ones?) how many and in what combination? I have included some pictures of rooms which I would love to emulate in mine.

Please ask any questions if you think you can help me! I really appreciate all thoughts and ideas. Thanks in advance.

Looks like a nice space -I could easily relax in your lovely corner sofa! Personally,

1. I would add rattan chair - natural colour, you have loads of cushions so 1 or 2 on the rattan chair would tie in with your scheme.

2. The pictures above the sofa could be moved to the left to line up more against the end of the sofa.

3. The lamp on the white table - try to find something much bigger - relative to the sofa it appears very small.

The main thing is not to sweat too much - rooms devolve and part of the fun/enjoyment is finding things that you like.

Hello again all and sorry for the delay! i have now got a throw and started to extend my gallery over the corner. I grabbed an old chair and rug that were kicking about in my parents' garage and put them in the corner to give me some idea of what i want. actually, i kinda like the beat-up chair but i don't think the rug looks right. is it too small? Now i have the reddish throw (LOVE it... from the Avoca shop in Belfast - amazing place, if you are ever in Belfast do go!!) I am actually considering replacing my blind because i prefer red tones to the turquoise. Just not sure what I would get instead? Still need a fab lamp and more cushions but wisdom says wait for the January sales! I still think I need something more eyecatching on my vanity too... Considering a map above my bed but I don't know if it would compete with the gallery wall too much? have to say i do love the "hello" sign!

Hello lonec1, Thank you! : )) .. I took the inspiration from what you already have, but I just "see" what works with what is already in the picture or I just decide if there are no images or guidelines. I make very quick decisions but they are very considered if that makes any sense at all! .. .. The chest is an antique piece from Shimu and is £645 I think .. but shopping around of course you could find cheaper.. (I have discussed trade with them before) The lighting is Noguchi which I am sure you know of course, seeing as you have the table. I happen to love these and Ikea did a similar one years ago quite large with 3 legs and a bamboo circular top, but they have not had anything that good since.. .... and the chair is Eames but not one that is possibly really well known.. I loved the shelving piece antique and thought it was fantastic for behind the dining table.. With very little on it.. So it is really a piece of art.. With maybe the little lamp on it.. .. The butterfly stool (like putting your hands together at the wrists.. is Sori Yanagi.. Do ask if you need any other advice... : ))

Painting the frame maybe a good idea. Maybe a deep, dark on-trend blue would work nicely. I have attached a few pictures of the room set at Grand Designs Live. I didn't use mine on the walls as you suggest because it did not fit the scheme.. but I have suggested it to many clients that have come to see the set including one visitor who is using it to display Vinyl Records as they are coming back into fashion :) Do let us know what you decide to do. Hi. Its a lovely room, I preferred the table straight on where the sofa arms also didn't overlap tbh. I can't photoshop at all but it may give a very rough idea! If you want to paint then I'd go for aubergine on the dining wall and a lighter shade of the curtain colour on the rest and use green as your accent colour.. I'd put a round table between the sofa corners, I think something in white and oak would marry your dining table and tv unit but struggling to find something that's not obviously scandi in style! I'd pop a fat round lamp on there with a patterned shade with green in or a textured shade. It's hard to find something that will either fit in that empty corner or work on the long wall but this bookcase/display may work? I'd also add art behind the dining table

I tend to agree with ianthy, but suggest a tall plant instead of the rattan chair.
