I should have said in really short, I struggle to reach the higher cabinets hence not having any. we will have a separate pantry. my main issue with having sink on the island is realistically it will look messy and wet u don't want the prep / social area to show the sink. we did consider the induction hob on the island with a downdraft extractor but they were over our budget and we didn't want a hood. with the ovens my husband really didn't want to be bending down hence we compromised and went mid height. Yes 90% drawers we love the ones we have that are deep. we went through our kitchen everything that doesn't get used went and wee created a list of items that we needed to store. from that we calculated the drawers we need. everything else goes in pantry. thanks for posting.

I'm so sorry, but I've only just seen your posts and all your hard work with the mock ups!!! I didn't get notified. Thank you so much this is so helpful!!! Seeing the Photoshop mocks ups makes us realise we don't want to go two tone on the edge cabinets and like the lighter grey. Unfortunately the job hood needs to stay as we can't get it out. We would love to have a modern one added, it's just not doable without taking all the units out. We have painted the window wall which looks fab (well we think so!), picture below. We're considering ammonite or cornforth on the outside cabinets (posts included) and downpipe on the island. We're not 100% convinced the downpipe will work? What do you think? Is there any possibility anyone could use their amazing skills to demonstrate these colours please? outside cupboards ammonite and island downpipe outside cupboards and island ammonite and if anyone can really be bothered the same as above but with cornforth instead of ammonite! Thank you for your time!

Nice idea @Barxonomy but we need extraction rather recirculating than to meet building regs of 60 l/s if not fitted directly over the hob (which seems impossible due to the island and height of the ceiling/pitched roof). If we had something into the ceiling I'm worried about it extracting to the roof and water coming straight down it, not to mention how we would operate it/clean it with it being high. @Ellie what extractor do you have? We will have almost 6m long sliding doors from the kitchen/diner so it isn't like we don't have ventilation.

Agree with all the above, especially about wren not pointing out to you about the extractor and speaking of which, what sort of extractor are you considering over the hob because you might have an issue with clearances. Ideally with electric hobs and especially induction the size of the extractor needs to be much wider than the hob https://www.neutratest.com/en/cooker-hood-guide/need-to-know-about-cooker-hoods/width to capture steam and cooking smells. Looking at the elevation my concern is will the wall unit door thats inline with the peninsular open ok once there's an extractor in position, Your hob is about 750 from the wall, wall unit is 300ish deep and if its a 500 door then its going to open to 800 and be over the hob/extractor zone.
