I am in the process of decorating a new bedroom! Advice Needed :)))
Comments (2)We vote white bedside tables with vintage handles ... Amazon is cheap, cheerful and full of options. It's a little effort, but will add a lovely finishing touch to the room!...See MoreBedroom decor advice
Comments (10)Thanks for your suggestions - and good idea to check the screw holes before I buy anything! Now I'm thinking about wallpapering behind the bed - I don't think it will cost that much as it's a fairly small area and we have some supplies already. What do you think of these colours? https://www.diy.com/departments/fine-d-cor-melrose-grey-geometric-metallic-effect-wallpaper/5011419424351_BQ.prd https://www.diy.com/departments/boutique-vector-blue-geometric-metallic-effect-wallpaper/5011583384611_BQ.prd Thanks everyone for your help!...See MoreLooking for advice to decorate a bedroom
Comments (8)Hi Nicola, Your welcome! Those dimensions are great. It could be a very spacious room. Don't be put off by the work. If you divide it up into small steps they can easily be tackled one at a time. STEP 1. I think the first step would be to declutter. There are too many things in the room. Do all these things belong to you? If so, are they all necessary? Do you really need two dining chairs in your bedroom : ) ? Can the decorations on top of the wardrobe go in the loft? I'm guessing they are only used once a year? STEP 2. Decide what things need to be on show and what things can be hidden away. Is the wardrobe floor empty? If so could the red suitcase go inside the wardrobe? Can some of the items on top of the wardrobe go under the bed? If you can't get rid of the chairs could they be stacked on top of each other? If the folders/books can't be put away, can they be put in some nice boxes and then back on the shelf? etc etc. STEP 3. Consider turning the desk 90 degrees and then move it to next to the door, that way you can watch TV from your bed! It also means you can turn the bed 90 degrees as I suggested before. The chair will still have space to manoeuvre. If the bike can't be put away I would put it where the desk currently is, right up against the wall and then just pull it out when its being used. STEP 4. Paint the back wall behind the bed. If painting is not an option i.e. its a rented room then search the internet for peel and stick reusable wallpaper. There are lots of options to choose from. Buy some small bedside tables and lamps. If you are on a tight budget you could use those two dining room chairs either side of the bed! STEP 5. Decorate with artwork that means something to you. Bring in a few plants to bring life into the room. Of course there are always more things you can do but I believe you mentioned you are only looking to rearrange the furniture....See MoreUrgently need advice for teen bedroom

And im also renting long term so would need to ask landlord i do like the option of using that space, as currently it juts out into bedroom 3 causing more of an awkward shape and taking floor space up . thank you...See Morethel
