Which green or grey/green for kitchen cabinets?
Comments (14)ok so I'm still al little confused but almost decided (mainly cos i can't take this strange indecision anymore!) So 3 tall integrated of/larger fridge & pull out larder units on back wall (in photo) and l shape base units only in Slipper Satin. Worktop in snowy ibiza as it has a taupe tinge to it so works well with Slipper Satin but lighten the room too and wimborne white (or possibly Valspar Fluffy Robe) for the walls and open shelves. I still want my champagne bronze tap and am hoping it will go but it's the only thing I'm not certain on now and the only thing i'm dead set on having! Off to look at Kahrs flooring samples today....See MoreLittle greene lead shaker style kitchen
Comments (2)It's a lovely kitchen. If your question is re layout then I'd post a plan of your room. I might go for a subtle marble effect worktop rather than plain white. I also like the brass handles which IMO work better with the colour than chrome/nickel. The parquet is lovely and you could also consider a darker shade or a colour for the island if wanted. With it's blue undertones I think it would probably work well with F&B railings or LG Basalt....See Morefarrow & ball, little Greene, mylands paint
Comments (5)I think anything will change with a change in light. Funnily enough I was looking at this myself this week. I've chosen F&B colours for the exterior but want to use LG paint re quality and coverage. I've only got as far as ringing Kent Blaxill ATM but my local one doesn't have a scanner for the LG machine. I did read a professional article a couple of years ago saying LG could match F&B extremely well but I can't find the article again so that's not terribly helpful.....See MoreFarrow & ball v Little Greene for painted kitchen
Comments (7)Hmmm difficult one. I’ve read that kitchen manufacturers prefer Little Greene’s eggshell. Now I’ve used the water based eggshell on some furniture and it’s fine, but I’m not convinced it’s tough enough for a kitchen, so maybe they use the oil based one? I’ve painted my front door in Farrow & Ball exterior water based eggshell and it has fared really well. I personally cannot use oil based paints as they give me a very bad headache so water-based only for me....See Moreton1newman
