What do you think about Patterned floor tiles?
Comments (2)Mediterranean floor tiles are the obvious choice when it comes to a safer way to make an impact through bold patterning, but we really like the non-conformist dynamic that the Puzzle pattern introduces, which can transform the personality of a room....See MoreFallen in love with patterned tile. Comments (7)Hi Sharon, why not install an interesting victorian wall panelling? Like the one on the link below and photos attached. You can paint it in any colour and it’s an elegant, contemporary solution for English bathrooms. These mdf panels work really well with the patterned floor tiles and are easy to maintain and install. https://www.designangels.co.uk/product-page/victorian-mdf-wall-panelling...See MoreTile pattern and layout help needed please
Comments (3)Thanks Sophie, we finally bought the 600 x 600 as we loved it do much, with similar colour grout I think it would be fine. what are your thoughts on the grout? We are doing an inside floor and flowing into the outside patio with the same porcelain stone, except one is an outdoor rougher finish. But... we've been told that the laying of the stone outdoor needs a 4mm grout line minimum, preferably 5mm for outside, but the inside we were hoping for 2 or 3, but then it will look like its a mistake, and different if the grout sizes are different and the tiles wont obviously line up.. so now we're not sure how to lay them, either next to each other, or in a brick tile fashion, and now what do we do about grout? Same inside and out maybe a 4mm for both, or smaller inside and larger outside? This is all Too confusing, what do most people do?.. we're also not sure if we need expansion joints anywhere else? We currently have them at the join (between ply and concrete base) and doorways, but not sure if needed anywhere else? we have a good strong flat base, and de coupling matt too and flexible adhesive is that enough? Apologies so many questions.....See MoreBathroom tile decisions - patterns with?
Comments (15)to have many coloured tiles in a bath/shower room is a brillant idea. One has to concentrate on a certain harmony between the tiles, but that should go very well with shell white(s) and apricot(s) and mint(s) on the walls, if you know what I mean. Contrasts are nice in small places, we have a dark burgundy wall in a small guest room, it makes it more cosy. I took a risk when it was done but never regretted it. These bathrooms in the thread look nice. Huge choice....See MoreGraeme Valentine
