Hi Tom. We were lucky enough to get married in our dream destination in Positano on the Amalfi coast. I hadn't quite appreciated trekking up 180 or so steps in 40 degrees (they were just the villa ones) in a very heavy wedding dress though..My father-in-law was waiting at the top of the steps to take a photo and I had to ask my husband nicely to remove him!

Mine ..was a big Manor House ... Where we used toooo Go Srumping for Apples ......from what we called the forbidden tree .. Thinking back ...I was always the one who went up the tree leaving ...my so called friends down below On lookout ...and picking up fallen apples We always wondered who lived there ... We dreamed of having many servants .. Big ball gowns ...chandeliers ... And lots of other dreamy things .. I ended up in a cottage ... But hay....I have the chandeliers

Half-way, perhaps, to having something very comfortable, individual and accommodating in my present home. Nowhere near the listed, detached property of my girlhood fantasies (now embellished with a library, gym, sauna, conservatory, craft room, laundry, mudroom, greenhouse and generous garden acreage). But perhaps that's for the best... fantasies never take account of the hoovering and dusting!

The "Eye" is very much on the design of each product as well as how it goes together- focusing on client & space.... People come to me for my excellent taste! Countryside. The reality of a sea view for me would be the cold, grey North Sea! Not the romantic vision of turquoise I'd like, but the countryside view from my home through the seasons never disappoints, with the added bonus of mountains in the distance.

Very recently went to a wedding in Madrid..not sure whether to call it a late summer or an early autumn wedding (I prefer the former) but it was enchanting!
The venue opened up for events, a couple of months ago in the Spanish Capital.
It got me thinking about wedding locations again!

The Great Hall in Doune Castle. Sadly I'm past the stage where a wedding is on my to do list- but it's a lovely location

Registry office, on a Tuesday when it's cheapest. No new clothes, did my own hair, no photographer. We had 10 guests, a sit down meal afterwards - it was lovely. Only cost £400 in total so we were able to buy a house instead of blowing it all on one day. Each to their own though! :-)

My dream is Georgia! There are many beautiful places in Georgia for weddings and wedding ceremonies. Especially popular are such regions as Kakheti and Kazbegi for wedding in georgia mountains https://shuwedd.com/services/wedding-in-mountain/ as well as the cities of Mtskheta, Batumi and Vardzia. Each of these corners are very beautiful, have their own unique atmosphere and architecture, their own history and traditions.
