Need advice on updating external wall for an office space

We're refurbishing an office space and thought the external wall of the property looks tired and needs sprucing up as well. Any ideas on how to achieve this? I was thinking that partial cladding using timber might work but I'd highly appreciate more creative and cost effective ideas out there.

The signage has already been removed. Thanks!

I like the brick, just that one area looks as if it needs cleaning up. I would change the door for a solid traditional one. In terms of signage cream/white lettering on a black background always looks expensive, perhaps paint the window frames to match?

I would not render or put any cladding up just spruce up what is there.
I would paint the stone coins and window ledges so that they look pristine then unify the window frames by painting all the same colour. I would paint the lower ones white as I think white looks smarter against red brick.
I would paint the wood door- again a lighter colour looks smart against red brick although this can soon look dirty in an urban area- perhaps a taupe/ grey would be forgiving. Lastly I would put expensive looking chrome door furniture on the entrance with a modern sign at eye level.

Hi Sofaiza, It sounds like you have done great so far and have a great space. Well done. I have just completed a kitchen design with what sounds like exactly the same kitchen units. We went for a speckled white worktop which worked really well. We then chose a light grey with a hint of blue for the walls - this is modern and fresh and works well with the white gloss and with the silvers or whites that may appear elsewhere in the kitchen. What flooring have you gone for? For a contrast Black worktop went well and was considered for the same project I mentioned. For the features walls the tiles sound intriguing but I would need to see them to get a better idea or know if they would work with the design. Sounds good though. I am happy to forward a few images of the project here if you want to get in touch. It will give you an idea of how it will all look. I'm in total agreement with Jonathonandb1972. I think the wall tiles are quite modern. The flooring lets the whole thing down and replacing it would vastly improve the overall look. You could also go for a dark chocolate feature wall to match in with the flooring on the wall with the sink and mirror.I noticed the bottom of the shower, i have just done the same with bendable acrylic sheet matched to the colour of the walls in my downstairs shower room. ( So you can access the pipework ) We have ( my wife has ) - just finished this room, choosing not to hack the tiles from the wall as it makes a big old mess, she's covered over the tiles with Tongue and Groove and re-tiled the inside of the shower.Transformed the old place! She's a clever old stick and a top tiler!

Cloakroom update, advice needed

I think it can be fun to do something a bit personal and 'different' in a cloakroom. So if it were me, and there weren't funds or time to do a full-makeover - I would choose a theme that had some connection with family interests, location, past -- e.g. perhaps a hobby, or a location of a special holiday, or a country that you're originally from, or a favourite animal/plant, musical instrument, music / paint genre or a favourite decade, or favourite superhero or movie. Then I'd go to All Posters and find a print or canvas related to that theme. Put that print/canvas on the wall opposite the toilet (for a good view!). Then choose a paint that matches some aspect of the picture/canvas. Not too dark. Paint the entire room in that colour. And paint the same colour but a darker shade around the recess of the mirror (like a frame). Choose a hand towel in a contrasting colour. Dunelm have lots of good colours; inexpensive. John Lewis too. Put up a chrome hand towel ring to the right hand side of the sink (so towel is not hanging on radiator). Get rid of current ornaments and replace with 3 things. (I really agree with the rule of thumb that things look good in 3s! Don't know why that is). Maybe three of the same lined up; or 3 of various heights placed in trio. Anything really, but would be extra bonus if the new ornaments had something to with the theme you chose for the picture. Get a new toilet brush and holder. Again Dunelm is good. Perhaps chrome or crisp white ceramic (not cream if your toilet bowl is white). Reduce the number of soap dispensers. One soap dispenser at a time. And one moisturiser if you want. Your black wire basket would be worth keeping if you are going to have moisturiser and soap. It like the way it looks on your mirror shelf. And last but not least - you might if you can - replace the ceiling light. There are loads of options, but it probably needs to be bathroom-rated IP44. Choose something that goes with the look you're trying to achieve. But I think that if you do the rest, this isn't essential. Your current spot lights are fine too. So that's my suggestion for a cheap makeover! I like A.S.' ideas if you have more energy for a full makeover.
