Toddler's playroom
Comments (1)Hi there Storage is imports in in any play room. So think of shelving and tables which are at toddler height with no sharp corners. Make sure the furniture is secure as toddlers do tend to climb! Neutral colours think of colour quirky combinations greens & turquoise yellows & grey blue & orange Pastels look good combined with a primary too. You could paint one wall in a feature colour, say lime green or you colour but decals for the walls and make these a feature. Funky roller blinds (with safety catches!) Add a bright rug too Bean bags for sitting on. Look at Nubie Aspace The great little trading company...See MorePlayroom layout
Comments (2)This to me is a perfect play room. Tables are so flexible- you can make a den under them, build a train track round them and most importantly paint and craft on them! Plus have accessible storage on one wall and floor space at one end (and a basket for muddy boots by the door!)...See MorePlay room for a 5 year old and 7 year old girl - impossible task
Comments (18)Hi. The width of the room is 210m. The nibs are around 300 each so they are quiet narrow. Do you mean put the tall storage there in either side ? I have got a very light reclaimed wooden floor to go into the play room. It’s very Scandinavia style which I love but I wanted to carry this through to he play room in a fun way. For the cabinets for storage I did have another idea: which was use the ikea ivar cabinet and maybe have them wall hung or on the floor (pic below). The reason why I chose these cabinets is because they are only 300 depth will be nice and flush with the nib (if that makes sense) and they took away all the toys. The cabinets come in pine so I could paint them to get the stream line look. I’ve never really done anything different before so do you think this could work? I’m thinking in trying to pull something off that really could work or that it may end up a total disaster. thanks...See MorePlay room or open entranceway/area
Comments (14)Yes you’re right, the way they use the room will change over time. The kids don’t play together on their own yet but it won’t be long plus I like to vary the rooms they play in especially if we’re stuck inside for a longer amount of time. I don’t want to add sliding doors further down the line as it’s a bigger project and going to cost a fair bit anyway so I don’t want to do it twice especially the flooring. The hallway is going to be slate just like the kitchen but think that if we have it open to that area too then it’ll have to be slate as it would look a little odd with kardean through there. Thats a good idea re storage. We’re looking st getting built n cupboards but having all the small bits in baskets so they’re tidy. I also do a lot of work from home as im a teacher so need a bit of space for my things too...See Morewendy Anderson
