Blinds and Wall Colour for my kitchen ?

my kitchen is cream gloss doors, granite worktops, any ideas on what I should paint the walls and colour for roman blinds?

How about painting your kitchen duck egg blue, it contrasts well with cream and is not too warm for the heat of a kitchen. It can be used with a variety of different styles/types of accessories and soft furnishings, including ditsy prints, ice cream colours and geometrics.

Ideally i would advise buying a blind you love ( a design rather than plain or textured) and using one of the colours in the blind to paint the walls with. If the room is small ensure the pattern in the blind as also small. A large an/or bold pattern will overwhelm the room. The blind needs to be a kitchen blind that resists moisture and grease or it will grow black mould. Also remember to use paint designed for kitchens as it resists grease and steam.

I have been advised to paint the colour of the walls the same as the white cabinets to avoid highlighting how off white my cabinets are. However won't this make the kitchen look bland. Can you advise what colour I could use as a feature wall to add contrast /tonal. Also which wall(s) would you chose as a feature wall.

This is a real family kitchen with a very authentic fee. My own take would be to go one of two ways. Either go with the warm in the kitchen that you so obviously feel drawn to.... in which case the gingham in the warm tone would suit well. If you felt you wanted to tie in and bring together the more designed look, then go with the closest you can get to the Aga, these are samples but you can probably get a better match. Gingham is a class country furnishing choice, your home says family, warmth, winter suppers near the bum warmer...gingham won't fight that in winter, and will brighten the feel in summer. Hi Liz I had a look at the images you posted, and I think a lovely green would be great on your kitchen walls! There is a great one, called Persian Green from Colourtrend, i think it has been discontinued on their current colour charts, but is still available to buy, its a lovely warm natural green and would be fab, looking out onto your garden from inside. The blue appears to make the room look slightly cool...so maybe stay away from blues and greys! Defo change the handles, and just plain white roller blinds, with a side winder, no frills, let the light in, clean and fresh too! Hope this helps ;)

Thank you. I'm having a pale grey sofa in the kitchen and I'd i like to mix some different pattern cushions on the sofa, mainly geo/ikat type. Could I do this with either of the blinds I picked out? :)
