Glass privacy?

Is there a finish on the glass of these doors so that the person on the outside cannot see inside?

How about a vision blind or just plain horizontal blinds as they can be angled meaning that you can see out but others can't see in. You do have a couple of houses that can see straight in so my suggestion for the long term would be to turn your attnetion to the planting in your garden. As long as the neighbours can see directly in you will need to block out the view from the bath itself. You have plenty of room at the bottom of the garden to get creative. Furthermore you could pot plant a hedge on the balcony directly outside to hide you when in the bath and have a motorised blind which you close down for getting in and out. If there is nothing above the bathroom a velux roof light will also allow star gazing.

Hi, I was at http://www.ukconstructionweek.com/ today and there were a number of manufacturers that can supply this type of product and i don't believe you will need to pay £8k (but it depends on the glass coatings, double glazed, size, etc clearly). I do feel for you, a similar thing has happened where I live. Two storey flats overlooking pensioners bungalows. Privacy has gone and light is reduced. Complaints were put in, a petition was put in but 42 flats brings in a lot of revenue for the local council. The value of our property has dropped as a result of this - I paid a premium to buy the place as we were not overlooked at all previously. It is heart breaking and soul destroying, one of the neighbours succumbed to the depression and has now been taken into care. A chap moved into the upper flat across the road from me and as the flats are so close I can see he has a mole the size of a new penny on his left shoulder!! Scuze me for passing on this rather personal information - that is how close the flats are and the lack of privacy on both sides. I do not want to move and lose money, am too old to be doing with the upheaval anyway. These are sad times we live in.

Hello Joanne, recently I had renovation project where my client bought apartment with extension (extra bedroom) to the back of the kitchen. For some reason previous owner left window in the kitchen, which now was looking to the bedroom. I share with you my design solution if it will be helpful idea in your project. We left the window inside but blocked it with plaster board from bedroom side to have even wall. And in the kitchen we boxed the window up and made recessed shelves with LED light for display. Unfortunately, I don't have high quality pic to show, but still to give an idea Hope it will help!
