Jonathan thank you so much for your detailed drawing it had never occurred to us to think about that layout which is why we posted on here Our house is built on a hill so our extension floor level is up around 1.5m and you have caught the shape down the side of our garage perfectly so would that all add to the cost of the build The layout does definitely give us something to think about as it wouldn't iinterfere with the light in our main living space and would be nice to have the option of the shower in there too...See MoreHow to give my 1960's house some curb appeal?
Comments (1)Hi Ben, there isn't a particularily good not expensive softaware to do all these things. the best is to use Photoshop if you are using the computer. you can try free moodboard progamms, it will allow you to upload a smaple you are aftder and try use it: Style Sourcebook, Design Files etc. most of apps on phones and pads are based on a photoshop idea: DecorMatters, Homestyler, Morfolio. paint companies like Dulux, Sherwin Williams have decent paint visualiser....See MoreHelp needed to redesign porch for 1960s house
Comments (9)Can you not have a larger or double door?? Its a big entrance so I would say definitely a pitched roof and then I would centralise the door with window either side. Its difficult as I don't know if that's a possibility with the layout of what is behind the door. My idea for the garden would be do away with the bit of grass on the right but keep some colour and planting to the left. You could add a couple of pots with buxus in either side of the door and think about some nice lighting! How exciting. It will be gorgeous...See Morechetancsm
