Need help choosing range colour, wall colour and tiles in kitchen
Comments (27)Update - alabaster painted oak units, oak worktop, (curved end units and worktop corners) belfast sink, 1100 stainless steel rangemaster porcelain large high gloss ivory 600x600 floor tiles, ivory grout - please see attached look book just still to decide on shade of sage on walls - deciding between F&B Mizzle, Vert De Terre, Ball Green and Cooking Apple Green... Also metro sub/way tiles on walls - whether to go for a sage tile or cream/white... The dining room area off the kitchen will have oak parquet floor which will follow through from hall and will also be in the lounge but Im thinking of following the wall colour in the kitchen through to the dining room for continuity and potentially painting the chimney brest or wall furthest away from and facing the kitchen a darker green complementary colour... Thoughts please...See MoreHelp with choosing colour for kitchen tiles and wall
Comments (4)Hello Shahida, You could create something dramatic to compliment.. A fantastic tile company called Bert & May do a whole range from reclaimed, handmade, concrete and more.. You could tile a row on the wall round the edge of the worktop to compliment the flooring.. :)) http://www.bertandmay.com/...See MoreI need help choosing a wallpaper for my 60's kitchen
Comments (10)Hello Caro, That is a spectacular kitchen and the second I have seen on Houzz that's similar.. The other was yellow but the owners ripped it out! I am very glad you're keeping yours.. The fridge is wonderful too... What would really make this stand out is if you could find a home for the pans... So the kitchen remains sleek... Could I suggest a warmer lighter granite for the worktop or perhaps a worktop that would compliment the look like Formica! ... I think black would be too harsh here.. Something with blue in would be good too so it compliments the tiles... OR keep what you have as it looks blue.... You could have blue as a theme for the flooring too... Are you changing the flooring?.. If so Sinclair Till is an excellent choice for linoleum.. http://www.sinclairtill.co.uk/range/3/3360 http://www.sinclairtill.co.uk/range/3/3828 For walls Cole and Son do some fantastic papers Geometric Grand restyled... They are a larger and bolder version of their former smaller collection in this range... For Bold... For Subtle.. For pendant lighting... For dining... something like this table and chairs would be ideal.. Also the fridge is lovely too.... For cocktails... An ice bucket and a few glasses! I think this is one such occasion where I can say.. "Don't just go to first base... Go all the way!" : ))...See MoreNeed help choosing floor tiles for a white gloss kitchen.
Comments (2)Hi Mary Choosing floor tiles can be quite daunting as there are so many styles to choose from these days. Here are a few things you might like to consider. Size- go for as large as possible, this will help make a smaller space look bigger. What are your floor dimensions? Style- What style are your units and also the rest of your house for that matter? There are tiles which look like stone, concrete, slate, think about which style would suit your house best. Colour- there are some good grey/taupe options around which would work very well with gloss white units. Work tops - have you chosen them and if so what colour are they. Cleaning - if you have a family/animals I would suggest going for something with a slight texture/pattern to it. They won't show the dirt so much. The world is your oyster really. Hope that helps and good luck. Karen...See MoreUser
