Help with choosing colour for kitchen tiles and wall

Hi I m buying a new kitchen. It's cream gloss cashmere from wren. I m having difficulty in choosing the colour for the floor tiles and the kitchen walls. Tried looking on the net for help but didn't find much. Any advice would be appreciated?

What colour is the work surface? Do you want a glass splashback instead to add colour? What colour is flooring in the rooms your kitchen connects to (hall, dining room etc)?

Thanks for writing. My worktop is white. Have'nt chosen any splash back yet. The rooms connecting to the kitchen is wooden flooring. But there's a sliding door which separate the living area to the kitchen. Any advice is appreciated.

Hi, I've now had quartz worktops fitted in a white with grey and mirror flecks (compact lactea) & attach photos. Cabinets are all done too. My next area is what to do for splashback behind the hob/under the extractor. I originally wanted to do red glass across the length of the wall, but we have had under unit lights fitted below the higher cabinets and at night I can change these to any colour I want. If I do red all across I won't get the effect of the lights. Not even sure red would go? The wooden chairs are going and will be replaced & I still need to choose my island lights (thinking 3 pendants hanging). Husband thinks stainless steel sheet behind hob. I'm not sure this will look right with dark glass hob under it & wonder if it is hard to look clean all the time. What ideas do you all have as you helped with the worktops. I also show the dining table and the new open lounge area (intend to put a rug down). We also still need to find wall lights.

Hi Getty Welty What a shame about the worktop but I think it's almost a blessing in disguise. Once you have settled on the worktop my advice would be to take samples of the cupboards & worktop to a tile shop and look at them altogether. You really need to see a large tile together with the other samples to appreciate the overall look. A 10 x 10 sample is only a representation of the whole tile and the colour changes on a larger scale. We always advise our customers to do that if possible as its really important to make sure the overall tones work well together. Good luck with it all Karen

I would choose something very close to that deep red/rust/plum (can't quite work out what it is) in the granite. It looks as if that colour is also in the tea towel on the right (hanging on the handle in front of the oven). Everything else is so light I think the room would take it well and it would give it wow factor. You need a warm colour, as someone else has said, to tone with the cream of the cabinets and the granite.

Hi - you have a lovely kitchen to work with! For your tiles I would suggest to go for white simple tiles to create a contrast to your dark wooden worktops like the below. Your paint colour is where you can really add a bit of jazz to your kitchen, depending on how bold you want to be, I would suggest a teal green or something a lighter. For your floors if you are open to wooden/parquet flooring, you could go for a similar colour to your worktops though I would go a bit lighter to not make the space feel too dark. If you prefer tiles on the floor, I would suggest to go for a neutral but warm toned tiles.

If you want something simple try neutral tiles for the floor, something like our Apollo range. Or if you want to add some pattern why not use Orient tiles which have a patchwork style design!

Hello Shahida, You could create something dramatic to compliment.. A fantastic tile company called Bert & May do a whole range from reclaimed, handmade, concrete and more.. You could tile a row on the wall round the edge of the worktop to compliment the flooring.. :))
