Comments (4)Hi Mary - we've looked at a ton of options on Houzz since my wife wanted a red backsplash as well (it'll be another 8-12 months before we're at that stage of our renovations). I think we'll end up going with a white subway tile and 1 1/4" red glass tile lines in between to avoid the red from overpowering the room. Comments (1)Beautiful design and very practical. I just got an idea that it would be even more practical if it had an L shape kitchen island. Cook top on one side and the space for preparing food on the other side. It would also create a semi closed space for a cook between the island and the window.
