With a blank canvas, how would you lay out your open plan living area?
Comments (18)I had a similar design quandary - hunt for OnePlan on Houzz. She has a sliding scale of design charges, and we paid for a couple of hours design work. She came up with several designs for us, and we were able to make some changes which she incorporated into the final sketch. We're currently getting quotes for the actual build....See MoreAdvice on a complementary shade of white paint for our open plan room
Comments (4)Thanks for the suggestions ... so helpful. We actually have timeless currently in our bedroom and love it ... but I think the problem is that we have a brilliant white gloss kitchen and I think that timeless may be a bit of a clash of the whites. I think perhaps neutral greys as suggested are the way to go? The flooring will be porcelain tiles in the kitchen which will meet a karndean/moduleo type of vinyl flooring in the lounge area and we are looking at something with grey/brown tones as below, as we have a sandy coloured U shaped sofa. http://www.tilegiant.co.uk/synergy-perla-10mm.html http://www.moduleo.co.uk/product/blackjack-oak-22246...See MoreOpen spaces in your living area. Comments (0)Every now and then I hear people saying ‘we should be open about who we are’. But what about ‘living openly’? We are very curious to hear your opinion on one of our projects carried out in Central London. We have demolished a wall separating the kitchen and dining area from the living room and created a spacious open space connecting all three rooms into one. Share your opinion in the comments below. Comments (8)Three years ago, when we were moving into our house, there was a room for which we couldn’t think of a suitable name, and for the purposes of moving and unpacking we needed a name. Some bright spark suggested that, like the meeting rooms in the comedy spoof of the BBC ”W1A”, we name it after a famous comedian. Thus, three years later, we still have a room known to all my friends and family as ”Ronnie Corbett”. It’s not descriptive, but everyone knows what we mean 🤣🤣🤣...See MoreCathy Phillips & Co
