We have dark walnut stained kitchen cabinets and want a brighter, lighter look with paint and glaze. Can what I see here be done over my walnut cabinets and if so, how? thank you. Pam
Painted and Glazed Kitchen Cabinet Makeover · More Info
Hi, sorry for the delay in answering. The cabinets were originally a dark cherry. They were painted using General Finishes Milk paint and then glazed with General Finishes Van Dyke Brown Glaze Effects and finished with General Finishes Satin High Performance Polyurethane. I would hire a professional painter who sprays the paint rather than roll or brush preferably a decorative painter who specializes in glazing cabinetry. Good luck with your project!
