POLL: Which chore would you most like to skip?
Comments (41)Ironing. I don't. As others have mentioned, I also take clothes straight out of the tumble dryer and fold nicely. Since I finished with the city job, 10 yrs ago, am now resident in snowy N Yorkshire and run a small cheese making business I am lucky that I no longer have to wear shirts or ultra smart clothes for work, just a polo shirt, jeans and jumper. Actually no longer own an iron. Dusting too. Hate it. Also, my vacuum cleaner is afraid of heights so seldom makes it upstairs. Am beginning to think I am getting slovenly in my old age....See MoreWhat will our future homes look like?
Comments (8)I think it will: 1) go to extreme capsule living due to space and instead of open plan houses, everyone will have lots of interlinking small pod rooms with some communal areas and some private all accessed via biometrics. A bit like those Japanese pod hotels. 2) heating elements will be built into the building materials like plasterboard and will never lose heat so permanent heating for minimal cost. 3) all roofs will be glass or transparent 4) walls won't be painted or wallpaper but will be something textured. 5) washing machines will do a load in 5 minutes. I can't wait to see what we have! Bear in mind we had no CDs 30 years ago, no mainstream Internet 20 years ago, no tablets 10 years ago...a lot can happen in a short time!...See MorePOLL: Do you like your neighbours?
Comments (24)Hi. Before 1.5 year ago we had a wonderful neighbours! Was really good friends and we still visiting them and they us. But new owners are nightmare, horrible. They do everything what they wont and no body can help! Build shed along boundaries without asking permission, when we was build fence at boundaries they was demanded fence at 2.5 m high. They smoking meat at weekend day time, knocking at walls in the middle of night, swearing when play games - with open windows, loud music . Just no words! We try to chat with them - but they polish and was just two answers - I do not understand and Its my property I can do what I want! Council was told its both private properties -we cant do nothing! We just wait maybe they decide to move somewhere . But its just one house in community - where bad neighbours-others are friendly and we make bbq together and do children's parties....See MorePoll: Wardrobes
Comments (5)I have to admit I prefer mine with doors. I don't mind having open shelves as part of a wardrobe, for shoes, folded clothes etc, but I prefer my hanging items to be behind doors!...See MoreMacca Go
