Rose gold taps

Am trying to source rose gold taps and kitchen handles and wanted to ask what to look for in the material. I don't want to pay without knowing it won't the foil won top won't chip at some point and reveal the alloy underneath. Any idea, what to look for and the taps over £150 aren't real rose gold of course are they but whats the quality difference going to be between a £60 online and £150?

Thanks for any advice really appreciated.

the difference is in the process in which they are coated. A £60 tap will most definitely get chipped. If you do want it, go for a recognised brand. i.e Kohler give a 5 year warranty. A quality tap like that wont be less than £350.

Personally, I love the colour but agree that in the wrong setting it might quickly appear outdated. I think blush pink velvet is BEAUTIFUL, though not entirely convinced of the contrast with rose gold - less is more with this one for me.

You can get gold coloured or brass taps all over, depends on the design you fancy? Matching in the cabinet door handles is an excellent idea. However, they will not go with a silver sink.............swap to white if you can.

Hello Ellora,

Personally I would steer clear of cheap taps and look to offset the expenditure elsewhere in your design process. Taps are not something you can afford to get wrong. They are the bling in the bathroom etc and so need to be right.

The Elements range by Watermark are in my opinion worth the splash out ! (on a par with Kohler) The Karbon is what I would choose for a kitchen from K) With the Elements range by Watermark you can choose the components to make a bespoke configuration re the knobs.. I think they are fabulous... Here's a little design I put together with the rose gold as this is what you are favouring. However there are many fabulous finishes and configurations you can select.

I personally think theres no definable placement re the knobs so I put them together in my design as opposed to either side. The below is a close up of the rose gold and marble version I had used. Remember bottle traps and waste when considering finishes such as rose gold or anything other than chrome which I personally hate.. If not going for golds or brass.. choose Nickel for a silver finish that is a sophisticated superior to chrome- but it all depends on the materials they pair with as to what looks best.... :))
