I agree with the comment about polished tiles, they're just a pain to keep clean, especially with kids and if you chip them then it stands out a mile. I have a little boy with a penchant for sand, mud and general grubbiness, and I'd happily pick tiles again, we really don't have any issues. They're a textured finish and they're not rough enough to attract dirt, but sufficient to give underfoot grip. Polished porcelain tiles are a death trap to children. Obviously if you drop a heavy pan on them they'll chip, but not easily, and laminate would as well, and can't be repaired as easily. I think you're worrying unduly

Hi, you could by a retractable washing line and again, as suggested above, fix to the side of your house with the other end fixing to a pole/fence at the other end of the garden - this way you won't have an unsightly pole in the middle of your garden and the line is hidden away when not in use. Like everything yo pay your money and take your choice. Budget £2K fitting, £6k appliances, £4k quality worktops, £2K flooring and therefore you have £11k to spend on cabinets. Cheaper products (such as the ones mentioned earlier in the thread) likely have less cabinet options which means you end up accepting a tall slim door (to fill a gap) in the middle of horizontal lines of matching drawers, or you might not have a wide drawer unit available, or you may not be able to get a fold up door, limited cabinet choice sometimes means that your cant get a design that delivers your aspiration. When you pay more than entry level you are buying features that cost more to manufacture such as handleless systems, quality drawer inserts, lighting, and increased choice of door fronts. Having bought kitchens for many projects I think that you should be easily be able to get the look you want on your budget- let your kitchen showroom steer you towards their price group 1 and 2 doors rather than expensive veneers that will likely be out of budget and be upfront about your budget. I still vote Leicht.

Hello Cato creative ltd, Whilst its not my kind of kitchen, I do think you can work with this... The reason you feel it is out of "sink" yes I like a bit of wit in the morning.. Is because its the brightest colour in the room... I like the two colours together too and so I would not change this but work with it! Ways to do this would be "beautiful" accessories... or perhaps change a floor tile or two to the colour of the splash back.... Window blinds, another wall in the room to match... other smaller things like dinner sets or some other visible elements.. Vases or a beautiful fruit bowl as some examples. (Its not an earthy natural kitchen so my choices are based on the materials you currently have and the style of the kitchen) A lot of people refer to this idea as "pops" of colour - a term I don't like at all, but you can very easily make this choice a deliberate one rather than an afterthought, you just need to carry on a little bit but choose wisely.... One more thing... Add a bit more marble as this is a nice contrast to the other materials. I also prefer an upstand to complete a worktop. If you had offcuts etc, these make good chopping boards, serving plates etc... If one thing had to change for me it would be the flooring.. I would have chosen a mustard terrazzo. :)) This one is a little close up with a few additions... You'll notice there's a bit of green which would also suit... It doesn't have to be Murano glass but you see how you can add interest, the stripy vase has both the grey and the mustard if you look and makes for something unexpected to add to the focal point.
