Hello, We would agree with the other comments above. There is no rule that you must abide by but generally speaking if you are to have a two toned kitchen, lighter colours for wall cabinets and the darker colour would be used on the base units, as for the tall cabinet this is very much a 50/50 decision. Hello there, I was a rep for Benjamin Moore paints and have worked with a lot of paint colours - they have 3500 in the full collection! For a small room you need a colour with warmth in it a hint of yellow to reflect the light but it will predominantly depend on the colour and amount of light coming in to your room. I would be happy to order some large samples of colour sheets that are sprayed in the actual colour so you can check the tone works in your room free of charge. Hi there, we have just had our kitchen finished in navy blue (RAL2004) we found the 2011 too light. We used Silestone calatatta gold worktops, full height splash back and island worktop, we painted all the walls in Little Greene Tusk, which brings warmth to the walls. Maybe look at a darker oak flooring, as this will add a lot of warmth to the room, we went with an antique oak (I normally absolutely hate dark/antique oak but for me, the floor makes our kitchen).

It depends on what else you have in the room, the sofa colours etc. It looks to be a really nice room with some lovely features. Personally, I wouldn't paint it all a blue or a dark colour as East facing rooms can be gloomy on an afternoon. Have a look on instagram, there is a total shift away from dark interiors towards more neutral warmer ones. Not that this matters, but perhaps a year of lockdown has made a difference to what people want to live with.
