Bathroom wall colour
Comments (7)Hi Minnie.Due to the metro's already being grey I would suggest a lighter grey or a chalk white. It's tough with a rental as you want something attractive to potential tenants and anything too bold may put people off (not everyone is cool!) Have you thought about doing a feature wall in tin tile wallpaper? Its commercial grade so very tough anyway but to be on the safe side you can simply paint over it with Decorators Varnish which costs less than £10 for a 500ml tin and you simply paint it on your wallpaper and it will be perfectly sealed protecting it from water splashes etc. You can get that from Polyvine, link here....See MoreNeed help 'styling out' black/grey bathroom
Comments (23)Hi Michael, Sorry, but I have to partially disagree with you on this, daylight colour temperature is 6500K not 4000K. Yes, 4000K is warmer than 6500K but it does not give a truer representation of colour. Colour representation is measured using the colour rendering index or CRI. The closer to 100, the closer to daylight. The Megaman LEDs are 80 CRI for each of the colour temperatures. That said, the 4000K fitting will produce a brighter and cleaner feel to the room. However, it can look too harsh at night. 2700K is closer to traditional halogen fittings. It can look duller during the day, but looks a lot more welcoming in the evening - perfect for a soak in the bath. It comes down to personal preference in the end...See MoreNew bathroom
Comments (11)I am a tiler and I used all kind of tiles and mosaics. Best advice ,as your corner shower will be around 800/800mm ,get porcelain tiles . In London,European Heritage sells porcelain with carrara marble print (white and greish veins gloss shiny finish or other color options) at 795/795mm. That would mean about 3 tiles per wall. around 240 the whole set of tiles with only 2 horizontal grout lines. For best results, use Mapei grout(you can find it even at B&Q nowdays. Add black matt finish taps and mixers and you have a relaxing colour mix....See MoreRetiling our bathroom
Comments (6)I think that you have made some nice choices. I would team these with a dark grout and would look at charcoal, chocolate and terracotta and see which one you like. If is true that this texture of tile could trap soap but if you use a steam mop on your floors you can also use it on your wall tiles. I don't think that the wood grain tiles will date any more than any other tile. Lastly I wouldn't paint the walls a light colour as I think it is easier to get light in with pale accessories and an enormous mirror....See MoreUser
