Two Orangeries, One Conservatory = One ‘WOW’ Living Space!
Comments (4)The original conservatory was balanced and, am not sure if it is the angle of the photo or not, but the new work looks like over-development with the old house looking lost....See MoreTurning one bathroom into two
Comments (17)Our architect came up with some potential configurations. Any thoughts? I have no real sense of how cramped these would be. So grateful for your thoughts. I am ruining a nice big bathroom by making two smaller ones, or are these a comfortable size? Our other option is keep the larger bathroom and put a small toilet down stairs. Appreciate your thoughts....See MoreTwo fireplaces in one room?
Comments (8)We have two! Our front and middle rooms were already knocked through before we bought the house. The two spaces are kind of zoned as Ellie suggested. The fireplace with the stone surround is the front room and where we have the sofas. The old middle room area has the door from the hall and also various bits of inherited furniture. (It was the play area when the children were little). It’s not a massively used area - but it creates a feeling of spaciousness. The photo is terrible - it was when we were decorating last year - however I think it’s the only photo of the two together!...See Moretwo different types of blinds in one room
Comments (0)Hi everyone, is there any rule about not mixing the blinds types in one room? I have a large kitchen dining room with two same size windows in the kitchen part and large French door with two sidelights in the dining area. I m going for French bistro style with my decor and really like cotton striped or bordered roman blinds. I was thinking to get them for the two windows and have the perfect fit Venetian blinds fitted on the French door and sidelights. However, is it something you’re not supposed to be doing? I read that you shouldn’t mix blonds on one room. Does anyone have two different types or blinds on their windows and doors and can share any pictures? Many thanks in advance for any advice x...See MoreUser
