Need help with the dinning chair combination!
Comments (20)Thanks minnie101. Yes I do like the renovation ☺️. Now I'm working on the decorations.. I do plan to add an AJ floor lamp. It would be great to pull out the sofa a little bit.. May be only a few inches is allowed ,..and place the floor lamp between the window n the sofa near the wall.. If it's too packed, the lamp can be on the left hand side right at the place where the door opens to.. I also plan to hang some pictures on the white wall above the sofa.. May be 2 or 3 pics like that in the sample pics 2, 3 & 4. But I'm very slow on this... hesitating on the styles of the pictures i should choose... May be some geometric black white grey pics with a hint of pink.. And some pics with quotes.. I hope to keep the place look simple and minimal.. A friend of mine said I don't need to add any pic if I want a minimalist design. As for the wall of the living room, there's an irregular clock. I tried to put more numbers scattered over the space but it felt too much and made the place look less spacious,... So finally I took some away and now only no. 1,4,8,9 left. What do u think? I will also add some greenery on the shelves and tables like small pots and plants, cactus, etc. Appreciate any comments & advice....See MoreIndoor swing - where and how??
Comments (3)Hi OnePlan, Never done a swing in-door! Seating 3 adult (potentially) + the weight of the sofa ... I will definitely recommend to check how much the structure you attached it to can take (counting the movement of getting on and off). Also check how much space you have around it as when you seat it will naturally move and the last thing you want to do is swing into the wall at the back or side. I have young children and I can see how it could be an accident waiting to happen ;-) I found this web site with lots of indoor swings images, I think a single seat in a corner will be a more striking focal point ... very curios to see the final result when you do it! http://www.woohome.com/interiors/25-examples-of-indoor-swings-turn-your-home-into-a-playground-for-all-ages...See MoreFloor to ceiling windows - yay or nay?

Comments (5)Hello Ann, Sounds like an exciting project! What about approaching the layout the other way around.. If you had for example a double or 3 seater sofa roughly where the 2 green chairs are... Then situate the 2 chairs opposite this...Keeping all windows free... This opens up the area nicely and does not create a cave effect.. If you decorate seamlessly, again you should not really notice the differing heights... Have a large pendant over the dining table and another along same plane roughly where the living room area starts.. ie in front of the current green chairs.. Have a console table behind the suggested sofa placement which ends no further forward that current chair placement.. Vase of flowers or something.. Then you can walk round this into the room.. chairs and coffee table can angle round and low lamps and a floor lamp would be good to illuminate this portion where the ceiling is lower.. Perhaps consider the tv on the other corner away from the fireplace.. It could sit on a nice cabinet in the corner between the window /sliding door.. : ))...See MoreAnna Auzins Interiors Ltd.
