Comments (23)I agree, converting the garage would improve the kerb appeal as you'd get a nice double frontage instead of a garage door staring at you. If you need to keep the garage then you could at least paint the door so it does contrast=stand out so much. Better planting to frame the front door + a new front door would be a massive improvement too. I wouldn't worry about grey windows, though - it is a bit of a fad and will soon fall out of favour just as brown Windows have. Also, I can't see that they would go with the brickwork....See MoreWhich exterior wall lanterns to pick?
Comments (28)Ah that’s very serendipitous LTS, do post a pic when they’re up! Sarah - I spent a long time looking for something the right size, quality, style and price point. Unfortunately there was nothing that ticked all the boxes in antique brass in my price bracket. That said I’m really pleased with the black lanterns so I can’t complain!...See MoreWHICH EXTERIOR REMODEL?
Comments (10)The only person qualified to comment on the value would be a local estate agent. Build costs too are difficult, as there are so many variables. They also depend on the layout of the inside, and how much will need to change to facilitate the look on the outside. It depends on materials used, the complexity of changing the roof etc. You cannot tell just by looking at a picture i'm afraid. However, to remove the roof and do any remedial work inside plus change the facade is exceptionally unlikely to come to 100K and if it did the house would need to be cheap enough to start with to command the construction price versus selling price....See MoreHelp. Comments (7)This was in 2011, when we just started renovating. Top windows are new (ral7039), walls ral9010. You see the neighbour on the right has bright white, the attached on the left some creamy tan. (Landscaping credits go to previous owner..) Don't have many new photo's, but this was a few months ago, when we had the front door and livingroom window done too (pvc): Lower edge on the wall still needs some paint.. And landscaping hasn't been done yet either, but we did take out the dug in roof tiles.. (plus we're slow renovators LOL no stress)...See MoreLinda Mayo
