Is velvet the new leather in interior decor?
Comments (10)Hopefully not long! But personally I don't like it. When I was first decorating a house 10 years ago velvet was nowhere in sight. Now crushed velvet is available for couches, cushions, curtains, headboards, dining chairs.... I'm hesitant to buy anything crushed velvet because in a few years it will need replacing or look dated....See MoreHelp with bench choice in family area
Comments (10)Hi Kerry Thank you for your advice. We will look into the curtain idea for washing machine.. With regards the room, it’s a grey paint on the walls- no feature walls. The adjoining kitchen is a bright blue though so maybe it’s been reflecting. The link to the media unit is : https://www.atkinandthyme.co.uk/chakra-media-unit.html?utm_source=google_shopping&gclid=Cj0KCQjw5NnbBRDaARIsAJP-YR-GxM5CWXzUL5fAYamHwjl_QpCHIal_wEpPh84zdeNYBu-4d2tWPHIaAgw0EALw_wcB I think we could do something like green cushions to go with it? I also need doormat for the back door so I could find something in green? Aside from that there’s a green plant pot. I am looking to have a gallery wall there so I can put some scenery with green plant filled photos too? Thank you...See MoreHelp with living room colours to go with DFS Zinc Teal Sofa please.
Comments (27)Ah, can't be sure, but it looks a lot like F&B Pitch Blue. Keep in mind that colours that you see online will most probably look very different in your home, because the light will be different. Also, photos are almost always manipulated, and all screens will give a slightly different image, so even if they mention which paint they've used, it might look different in real life. Best thing is to try a couple of colours out in your room, not smaller than A4 size really, to get a good idea of how it will look. Good luck...See MoreFamily sofa options
Comments (15)I prefer one colour but I do have a contrasting armchair. Different colours do work well but they need to be colours that go well together. With young children I would possibly go for a mid grey and they can be jazzed up with cushions and throws. Yellow or burnt orange looks lovely with mid grey. Navy is another darker colour that goes with so many colours. My favourite is teal, such a gorgeous colour!...See MoreSally Medd
