Black/white high gloss living room furniture

Hi need advice.I have a brown sofa,but I've seen a black/white high gloss furniture.want to know if sofa will go and what colour curtains would go.thank you for your help

I like the furniture that is in the picture but I think you could even go with black which would look nice with the floors and walls. You can really use any color for accent. Good luck with your new home! Marika essentialsinside.com

Hi Patricia. Glossy white cabinets will be great for your kitchen. Easier to keep clean than your existing kitchen as the smooth shiny finish will not hold grime like the textured paint on your current cabinets. A regular wipe down with a damp cloth will be all thats required. The white colour will not show up fingerprints. More important than the colour of the doors is the finish and colour of the worktops, since these horizontal surfaces will take the full brunt of the kitchen workload. Choose a lightly textured surface that will difuse the light from the window. Don't choose a highly reflective gloss finish that will show up every mark and crumb! I personally prefer a dark charcoal or grey patterned colour/finish for a worktop, so that my clients do not feel the need to wipe, clean and polish the surface every five minues. I hope this helps. Hi, I always go with black, I like the clean graphic edge. One good trick if you decide to use a group of pictures is to put the new artwork into a mount board, this enlarges the size of each picture and you can use the colour of the mount board to pull in the grey and the plumb. My parents living room has a very similar dimension and layout as yours. The questions I’ve are if the double door area has high traffic? Do you watch a lot of TV? My parents place layout is two three seater sofa facing each other in front of the fireplace with a TV console on the wall opposite, and bookshelves on both sides of the fireplace. My father watches a lot of TV in the evening whilst my mum doesn’t and she uses the space during the day to read and receive friends. The sofas facing each other creates a more formal space for conversation. For your space, I personally won’t have two sofas but one sofa with two armchairs, maybe mid century style on the side to the conservatory. For the conservatory, I could see both rectangular, square or circular dining table work. It depends on your lifestyle again. For example if you regularly have a lot of people for dinner, then a circular might be better. Whilst if normally, you only have less than 4, I might go for rectangular or square. As it allows portion of the table to have a vignette of magazines, candles and vases / plants. I’ve a 6 people dining table and mostly just two of us. So we use it for coffee, reading, more plants and books on one end. If you’d like to spend a lot of time in the conservatory, I’d incline to add seatings like 1 or 2 armchairs, a little sideboard or table to put a lamp to give different lighting level. Again very much depend on what your lifestyle is.
