White paint for a bedroom

What is a good color of white paint? Ceilings will be a lighter shade than the walls and knee boards made of bead board. Don't want a pink, yellow, green etc look.

Oxford white, decorators white, chantilly lace, simply white, distant grey, alabaster....all great options for a white room!

Hi. Given your preferred style I might look at a venetian plaster effect wallpaper or similar as it won't close the room in. This one is from designers guild and has metallic elements.If you have the room (hard to tell from pic) you could add an old wooden bench at the end of the bed just to add interest with the rug. If you change the light then maybe a chandelier of sorts. A large vase of flowers or stems one side of the bed as per last pic. I'd add the interest with cushions and throws on the bed in different patterns and textures in your preferred colours. Perhaps a juju hat on the ŵall (although they're not cheap!) or a collection of hats and art. If there's room a large mirror opposite the window will add more light and increase the feeling of space.

I found the Dulux Visualator, or whatever it’s called, to be pretty useless. I used it once to visualise my old sitting room colour just to see how accurate it was. My walls were Dulux Elderflower so compared it on the Dulux online thingy and it was completely different!

French decor is very gentle with taupe, cream and white and green. Walls could be painted Skimming Stone, or if you want a deeper shade try Elephants Breath, although in low light it can look a little brown. The F & B greens like Cromarty and French Grey look good too. Here’s some ideas
