Popup Storage from Kitchen Counter
Comments (13)Well you can make up a pull out shelf like that with the drawer runners available on hafele and they do the shutter units too ?! About 15 years ago you could get sprung pop up shelves for mixers etc - but most companies withdrew them as they weren't stable enough .... Try popping into 'Magnets' or 'Wren' to see if they do them still ?...See MoreWidth of Counter top to allow for breakfast bar? – urgent advice pls
Comments (12)I think you see bars (serving beers) with stools and no overhang. These are fine for a social setting where one person might be sitting with their back to the bar chatting to others in the room. If you intend to use the bar for food you need to face the island so will need the recommended leg room. Could you swap the 600 deep cabinets for 300mm deep? The cost of new carcasses might not be too bad. You should also talk to your kitchen fitter as he may be able to install them after the quartz....See MoreDoes this kitchen work?
Comments (22)Schmidt, I agree. Also because the traffic line between sofa and stools is rather cramped. Imagine lounging with your legs forwards, while talking to someone on the island stool and then some kids running in through that door. Personally I think I'd like my kitchen to be in the top left, next to the utility, with hob and sink in the island (and chat away with guests/family, looking out into the garden), tall cabinets with a coffee corner on the utility wall. And a spacious dining table with wide open windows onto a patio. Sofa would not be needed, for I'd look for comfy dining chairs. Sigh. Dreams. My kitchen area is 230x150cm and my utility is needed for a fridge, oven, washing machine, coats, shoes, bags and so on.. :)...See MoreDoes anybody has a Zeus Extreme or Iconic White Silestone countertop?
Comments (4)I currently have silestone blanco zeus 20mm. Assume that’s similar? IMHO it’s beautiful and doesn’t look plastic at all. It has a sheen on it that makes it very clearly a stone product rather than plastic. I love it so much that I will probably go for the same in our new kitchen later this year as I’m not a huge fan of “pretend” marble. The only problem with it is that it has a tendency to stain - tea is a particular problem - usually cleans up with some cif and elbow grease but we do have some permanent stains. It’s not as impermeable as Cosentino claim....See Morenicoletouk
