Country style kitchen shelving
Comments (6)Hi. It's difficult to see how much space you have from the oic. Do they do a freestanding larder in the same range to hide the food away? Where will the oven go? I'd look at either country style shelving to go with the units (look also for french as they will go) or just wooden floating shelves to go with the worktop. You could have painted floating shelves to blend with the wall colour but considering these will be fully functional it may not be worth it. I would definitely invest in a plate rack. Stating the obvious but really you just want the nice bits on display. Consider getting some nice glass, ceramic or tin jars for pasta, rice etc. is the dining table a similar style to the units? If so you could think about one of the ceiling hanging racks for saucepans....See MoreI need help finding these perspex/acrylic shelves and rails.
Comments (3)I would recommend you google perspex manufacturers as the company will have had these shelves custom made by one and any good manufacturer will be able to make them for you. Try a smaller local company I did this when I couldn't find the perfect perspex coffee table I found a local company to make if for me. Good luck...See MoreHelp me style my 90s brick fireplace
Comments (10)Personally I would not paint the brickwork as it looks quite tidy. If it were me I would change the mantle to a chunky oak plank maybe round off the corners to lighten the square edges from the brickwork. If you are planning on a stove maybe go for a different colour than black this will also lighten up the look overall, of course if you have a stove assuming it would be a wood burner then the hearth would have tools for the stove and a basket with your kindling in and some logs. Hope this helps....See MoreShelving error - help please.
Comments (33)Looks like the desk is too high for you anyway (note cushions on chair), so it’s a genius idea (suggested by Simon Lee above) & by far the simplest idea to trim the desk legs down to reduce the height. It’s too high for comfortable typing anyway & your back will suffer in the long term! No need to move shelves or change location of desk or buy anything else!...See MoreSam Potter
