What colour would you paint this kitchen?
Comments (6)Wow, I love the European vineyard-esque details of this space. It is going to look beautiful when you are done! At Purehome.com, we specialize in hand curating paint palettes and furnishings that speak to your individual style- from what I can see, I would recommend these colors (which are available in Benjamin Moore). Overall, to accent the beautiful blue cabinetry, I would recommend using a paint with golden undertones- this will really balance the room out and allow that great piece to pop. We have a patented algorithm to get the perfect complements for you! http://www.purehome.com/ics-nw-10-interior-color-sample http://www.purehome.com/ics-ng-11-interior-color-sample http://www.purehome.com/ics-4-1-interior-color-sample...See MoreKitchen experts - how would you use this space?
Comments (3)There are a few independent kitchen designers on Houzz ( myself included ) who would be happy to quote to design a specific layout that will be unique to you, your family and your lifestyle ! Then you can easily shop around and compare like for like and make an informed choice ... Alternatively you could ask a supplier of kitchens to design for you ?...See MoreKitchen Colour, should I use the feature colour on more thank one wall

Comments (4)The brick red stands out, and not in a good way - the red makes your house look yellow. Also, I have never seen trim done like that before (along the bottom of the house and at the corners??). I mean this kindly, but that does not look good. In addition, there is no need to carry the trim color to the fence, and the bench, and the retaining wall....it's way too much, in any color. I would remove that trim by painting it the same cream as the house. This would be much fresher than keeping that trim, in any color. For an accent color, consider painting just the fascia. It would be subtle and classic. With cream, you could do a navy, a white, a gray. Not sure about green - I just don't have experience with it. But you have several colors going on without the accent color, so there is already plenty to look at. No need to paint everything from the lawn to the lane the same color as the trim, or the same color as the house itself. Just put the trim color in one spot (aside from the house) - like the top of the fence/retaining wall OR the strip on the bottom of the fence that is red. Not both! Also, no need to paint the main part of the fence the same color as the house. For example, let's say you choose navy for an accent color, so the fascia and top of the fence are navy. The rest of the fence can be a complementary color - tan, gray, brown would all look good with navy and cream. I hope you'll post photos after you're finished! Very pretty house...See MoreMilly Moo
