Dining set be out of place in a 'formal' living/dining room?

Evening All,


I recently purchased this dining table as I loved the mosaique patterned wood and the black legs:



I'm now on the search for chairs that would compliment the table and think something like this may look best:




However, would they be out of place in a more formal open living/dining room? In comparison to say something upholstered?


Any more suitable alternatives or suggestions?
