I'm replacing my front entryway door for my upstate NY home. Do you commission work in the States or local only?

Pardon the late reply!

We only are able to do installations locally in Greater Toronto Area but we quite frequently ship our glass inserts and even entire door assemblies to Canada and continental US. If You want to replace the entire door system(with frame and everything else) then easier way would be to find a local door company to do the actual door for You and we can just ship You the door insert with wrought iron that can be easily installed into most new doors(steel, fiberglass or even wood) since the sizes for glass inserts are fairly standard with them

if You are planning to do a wooden door then we can design and built Your glass insert to specifications provided by the door company that You are working with.

We also did a few projects where we supplied the whole door system assembly(with frame, sill and everything else, fully prefinished and crated for ground shipment) but due to size and weight the shipping cost on the entire door assembly is quite high which makes the overall cost less competitive comparing to just shipping the door insert for it(which really is the focal point of the door usually)

I can't help but speculate that perhaps the reason so many houses featured are London based or more high-end properties is because most of the case studies are uploaded by architecture or design professionals who employ professional photographers to show off the finished results. These services aren't cheap and I don't imagine these companies get too many requests from owners of smaller 30's - 70's era homes, especially from outside the capital, because the homeowners won't see a return on the investment. I would have thought requesting design-savvy home owners load more of their own photo's would help bridge the gap. Perhaps on the next newsletter you can ask homeowners to consider contributing any photos of spaces they are particularly proud of?

Quick question about positioning of door in bathroom

Is that 2 towels rails in there as one is not labelled? If so Option B isn't good because of the intrusion of the towel rail by the door and the fact you'd have to walk around it to get to the vanity unit, but to be honest I'm not keen on Option A either because I'd want the towels rails close to the shower/bath and the vanity basin. I wouldn't want to walk over to the other side of the room with wet hands dripping all over the floor.
