the color of cushions

good morning,
this is my sofa of my living room (its light gray sofa), what do you think the best color of the cushions

details:
living room is open area with the kitchen
my kitchen: balck color
table of the living room and TV is white
wood floor

Hi,

How about a really bright contrast to the sofa and flooring?

A few bold colours could add to the styling of the room.

You could try patterned cushions that incorporate hints of the overall colour scheme. It doesn't have to be a block bright colour if that isn't what you fancy but maybe a mix?

How exciting.....just finishing touches and so far its lovely btw. My personal preference would be for an accent colour used with restraint in picture frames and soft furnishings. However since going for the Kelly Hoppen look- you should layer lots of neutrals in different textures. Consider having cushions made the same width as the sofa back cushions but only 20cm high, perhaps the same fabric as the sofa but a different shade of the same colour..... or the same colour but a different fabric? Then a couple of throws in different textures....Cable knit? Suede? Perhaps a rug in a natural grass. A large plant or two You also need to consider lighting- three different sources will help the feel - wall washers, ambient, task lighting. I think Yasmin is right too and you should buy some drama and edit in some black and some bling. PS- what does the footstool look like when positioned to the side of the sofa, next to an arm (assuming you have sufficient space) as I wondered if it would make the room seem larger.

Hello christjne, I am just getting a few images for you.. Hold on.. Oka do some that are rather good.. Also their faux flower collection is really good. This one is from them and also their velvet in Porridge and Pale Sage could be nice along with Mole colour and Caviar is one they have too that would work possibly... .. There is also the option of throws and they have one in Mole and you could also think of stones and other shades of earthy tones... Group with 1 plain mole colour to give accent but I'd say 1 of each together on 1 or 2 sides and a throw or two for the sofa.. You may find some others you like too.. They also have Mirrors and the Cesario large could be very nice, it has a nice bevelled frame with dark wood and accent of gold that would be gr8 with the dark sofa.. All depends on budget as I have many more suggestions including antiques but for something under the one roof as it were... : ))

Hi! To make things more homely I'd definitely bring some plants in. IKEA do some really great ones that help brighten up the room and make it feel lived in (I've included a pic of one of mine below). IKEA do also do some great decorative accessories like huge candles which would look great on the top of your coffee table. H&M Home also have some nice bits you could decorate the table with - like little pots for example. Definitely pop some scented candles on there too! Cushions-wise, your grey sofa means you can chop and change all the time! As the room is on the compact side have you considered using texture instead of bright colour for your soft furnishings? Its quite scandi so I would go much more neutral with beige linen cushions and maybe a light grey? I do like the orange but not as a rug colour. Loose the orange cushions and the rug and keep the black and grey ones and mix it up with textured beige, greige and light grey. I think you need a large green potplant in the corner too. I think the orange and black that you currently have is quite strong and a bit too bright for the space. It needs softening. The wall end of the dining table would look really good with a pond shaped mirror.

Hi,

I agree with Kate - yellows, turquoise or teal colours would look great in this space. You can go for the softer shades in these colours if you are not keen on a bold look. Colours such as these:
