Your home is so beautiful!

There are so many things I love and have repeatedly tried to save the same photos (short memory, but obviously know what I love). Are the little birds on the pillow here native to Australia? Do you know where I might find the bedding? (with the birds). Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for the compliment! I believe the birds are seagulls, and yes, they are adorable.

What concerns me about buying furniture on-line is that I can't try it out to see if it is comfortable and if it fits me , which for me is a crucial quality in furniture (I'm taller, shorter chairs aren't a good fit). I also don't like not being able to assess the quality. I'm not a big fan of on-line furniture retailers for that reason and probably would not use one. So research the market, and especially the price point at which people will buy on-line. I suspect younger people are more apt to buy furniture that is reasonably priced on-line. Include all measurements (including seat height on chairs) and have a review/comment section so people can see how the folks who have bought furniture like both quality and the delivery service.

What is your most difficult aspect in choosing colour for your home?

Hi. in terms of interiors I would guess people would like to understand how to identify and mix undertones, what colours to use depending on the light in the room, what proportion of colours to use in a room and how to make the house flow etc. On the flip side if you opt for neutrals how do you get a scheme to work. I'm sure I'm not alone in that the colours I wear are definitely not the colours I would use in my home so although clothes are based on what would complement your eyes, skin tone, hair colour, figure etc how does that translate into interiors (although there is a proportion of black in both :) )

I've also ordered funky bedding and art for the kids room and looking on here for some more inspiration. Everything I've done in the past always looks contemporary so I'm going to try harder at mixing it up a bit and giving the rooms some personality this year.
