Dark grey kitchen in open plan room. what colour sofa.
Comments (12)Personally I think that with the neutral palate any colour will work- but I feel that you need to choose a contemporary design to work with your German kitchen. I would choose a simple but elegant sofa and chair, choose a pale neutral (but not grey to avoid the fifty shades thing) Then I would add colour through accessories and a patterned/ textured rug. Separately I think the worktop upstand detracts from the mirror splashback behind the hob and is unnecessary. Otherwise I think the kitchen looks great....See MoreHelp me brighten up my dark kitchen
Comments (14)Thanks for suggestions ...so cans from top of dresser have gone (in garage) Rugs gone as it was wrong style (but nice on stone floor) I need the blinds going through to conservatory for privacy on an evening. Even though they’re a bit dull I absolutely love the mirror as it’s a beautiful old solid distressed one but maybe too heavy style for that spot as I never loved it in kitchen My dresser is painted in farrow ball French grey and I love it so wouldn’t want to punt it I need an oil cloth for table Feeling the wallpaper should go but what on walls...See MoreSmall and Dark Kitchen renovation help
Comments (16)We're really far from there too (south coast) but fortunately my partner works up north so he popped in on his way to Newcastle. To be honest, he only popped in to get an idea if quality in comparison to places like wren, howdens etc. The quality was definitely better (we went for the stanbury). We had builders in at the time so I just got them to measure then deducted 50mm from each side to account for uneven walls. Definitely research your fitter. We used our carpenter and to be honest he made the kitchen look really expensive. Would definitely recommend getting your worktops through them. They outsource to a stone Mason who comes and measures after the kitchen has been installed so you don't have to do this part. From measuring to fitting, worktops took 2 weeks. We saved about £1500 on silestone quartz by going through them. We haven't quite finished by here's some photos to give you an idea of quality x...See MoreHelp with paint colours in dark hallway!
