Is it too late to add Glass shelves in my shower Alcoves/niches??

HiI assumed the glass shelves can be added at the end once the tiling was completed.. I think I was wrong ! is it too late to add shelves?? I would have liked glass shelves and split the alcoves 50/50.Any advice and help will be very appreciated.Thank you in advance.Ps: the vertical split is where the shower screen will be fitted .oh yeah and the grouting has not yet been done on the tiles!
