Tartan and tan leather dilemma!!

Comments (60)Although we've gone for fabric in this poll, we know that for most of us this very much comes down to a choice between comfort and aesthetic. Leather is a bit more of an acquired taste when you're talking about comfort, whereas the right fabric sofa comes with comfort built in. If like us you love great textile design, a sumptuous fabric sofa is definitely an opportunity to explore the work of some well established textile designers like Margo Selby or new breed upholstery & textile design houses like Native Flok in Edinburgh. Okay, so you may just be looking for a lovely, comfortable sofa you can curl up on and watch Strictly, but even then, if approached with a sense of adventure, navigating the brave new world of textile design can still be very exciting stuff!...See MoreHelp matching Leather Sofa
Comments (5)Hi there, Grey is definitely a shade that is getting a lot of attention at the moment, and for good reason - it's a lovely alternative to neutrals that really complements a multitude of homes. If you're worried about grey not working well across all the walls, why not try adding it in other furnishings such as a blind or a rug? Alternatively, as Karen suggests above, a red shade will really play on the warm tones of your tan chairs and create a lovely homely feel. A Roman blind is a pattern could help with this effect too. Best of luck, and looking forward to seeing it when you've done! Zoe...See MoreLiving room ideas - Tan leather sofas
Comments (31)Thanks for all of your advice Carolina. Your right I don’t need another chair in the room, so I will stick with the existing furniture. I do need new curtains and blinds, it’s amazing how different the room looks in your mock up, it really looks great. Dimitry and London Stone are great colours, can you recommend an equivalent in the homebase own brand? I’m thinking of buying a bracket for the tv and moving the tv unit (can I get away with it staying in the room, or should I get rid completely?) so there is more room by the chair. If it’s possible do you recommend the tv on the wall where it is now, above the fireplace or in the corner where it was in my original pics. I’m so undecided it’s ridiculous! I also want to change the lighting in the room, as the existing main lights are not bright enough. Any suggestions on this? I want something that looks fab but isn’t going to hit anyone’s head if they are walking under them. Sorry for all the questions!...See MoreUser
