Design Dilemma DIY Kitchens

I don't have a budget for a proper renovation of the kitchen right now so just looking for some ideas how to make the place look nicer and cosier but still practical without spending too much. I do like alternative upcycling ideas but cannot come up with any at the moment maybe because I'm pressured by time and have to do something asap.

Oooh - if you are in the UK - you will need a minimum of 150mm between your gas hob anything flammable- ie your FF ! This could be incredibly dangerous if it’s closer.

You should measure that distance because it looks very close. Until you can afford a revamp I would be looking to make it less clinical which means painting the walls with either a warm or fresh colour. Then adding natural touches such as wood and houseplants

The bench appears to be at the height normally used for tables - not at breakfast bar height. So would be too low for use at this breakfast bar.

Love the kitchen, cabinets, worktops, the blind, tiling, lighting, everything apart from the flooring. I really dislike the flooring. It's easy to pick fault, and you often have to go with what the customer wants ( very often in fact ), so it's not easy to please everyone. Great job though!

I would replace the white shelf with a thick wood or wood effect one and also run another matching shelf on the wall to left of cooker. It looks like you are adding tiles for a splash back is that right? If so I would run them all around to the same height, so to right of sink etc. I would paint the walls a warmer tone, can’t really advise on that as know idea of the light levels in the room or your personal taste

no, the tiles were there just as it is. I would like to add metro tiles at some point but probably not right now. rather than walls I'm thinking to paint the cupboards with really dark green colour.
