Comments (27)Oh dear, I hope your company didn't lay them... The problems are legion, but the most striking mistake is in the layout. The tiles do not follow the line of the stairs, nor are they symmetrical. This will ALWAYS make the hall look lopsided. When you add in the colour scheme and lack of other period features, the owners have a problem. Are these encaustic tiles? The colour is far from traditional for a hallway and as others have said- more suited for a bathroom/utility room. If they are encaustic, why not move them to the garden and make a Mediterranean courtyard? The hall can then be inviting rather than blinding....See MoreSplash panels rather than tiles in shower
Comments (3)Hello, we are microcement applicators. microcement is an alternative to tiles and panels and require no joins at all regardless of the area. Panels do require joins. It's available in an array of colours and can be finished in matte, satin or gloss. Please take the time to visit our website for more information and colours. Another bonus of microcement is that it is suitable for floors aswell as walls so you could have a totally seamless room! Comments (5)Hi Lucy, For a toilet floor a darker grey grout would be best to hide any stains or spills. However from your photo the base colour of the tile looks quite beige, so a coloured grout like the BAL Micromax2 in Lime would be a good option, this will keep a heritage look whilst being more practical than an off-white. If you'd like to test a few options, we offer grout sticks in our stores which you can take home and lay next to the tile in the actual light of your bathroom to help you decide and make sure it's a good match before purchasing....See Moremahnrut
