Hi, Using colour: I would stay neutral for the walls above the units; a great colour example of this is 'Strong White' by Farrow and Ball and then for the wall on the left of the photo I would have this as a feature all and go for a darker tone such as 'Green Blue' by Farrow and Ball. Using lighting: spotlights are great as they can provide an even spread of light in your kitchen, especially if you are limited in natural light. Due to having a dark coloured back splash, having under cabinet spotlights on a separate electrical circuit would provide additional lighting on the worktop area in the evening and night hours. It's interesting the mention of Insta. We were talking about this the other day - what looks good on a tiny square does not necessarily translate to real life. Things need to have impact on a small square to draw the eye, but in real life you need to live in a space and feel comfortable. I think we have all been sucked in at times! Anyway, Forza's previous mention about Skimming Stone is a good one. Greys tend to be blue based, green based or violet based. Blue based can look urban and tend towards cool, green based or violet based may be the way to go. Little Greene Slaked Lime is good, Skimming Stone woodwork, Elephants Breath walls Farrow and Ball etc.

Hi! I would use a Color Muse to measure the colour attributes of your flagged floor and then choose a colour, which relates to the hue family to which the flooring belongs. Then all you need decide, is whether you prefer the wall colour to be darker or lighter, but knowing that it will coordinate with the flagged floor.
