Hi.
What are the inside seat measurements? Type of metal? fabric information, such as abrasion test results, cleaning etc?

Hi, sorry we do not have actual seat dimenstions. Floor to seat height - 47cm Main Colour: Grey Foam, Iron, Plywood, Polyester Machine wash. Cool iron. Suitable for dryer and dry clean. Do not mix dark colours. Capacity: 120kg. no test results available. kind regards Lorraine

I like your idea of the black chairs with cross hatched legs. It echoes up both the table legs and the table top. And it not only avoids trying to match the wood of the floor and table top, but breaks up all the wood. What about this version which comes in black leather with some interesting stitching across the seat area. I think the leather would suit your decor better than moulded plastic, and this particular chair is a sensible price. They have the cross hatching that echoes the table, and the leather and black got with the vintage + industrial vibe of the table.

I'm going to go to the Vitra showroom tomorrow to look at the Belleville chair in more detail. minnie101 - thanks for the idea of mixing fabrics and colours. I'm definitely going to consider that! :-) Alessandra - thanks for all the great chair options! Unfortunately my husband won't consider anything in metal (he thinks it is uncomfortable), and he's not keen on the Wishbone (though I am!). My preference would be for the CH88, but I think it is just too impractical with young children.
